Yesterday afternoon we took Joseph to the pet store to pick up some bedding for our gerbils and he loved it! Here he is telling about his experience at dinner tonight. What a cutie!

Just recently, Joseph's learned to eat his cereal just like the rest of us: in a bowl, with milk on it, and using a spoon instead of fingers! Here he is this morning enjoying a bowl of Kix, one of his favorite cereals lately, and being silly for the camera. The cool Mohawk 'do he's sporting is simply a result of his nighttime tossing and turnings, but seeing it makes me realize how easy it would be to arrange his sticking-straight-out-of-the-head hair that way. Who knows? It might be a fun look for now and again!

Today we received a lovely card in the mail from Tim's Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, and here are a couple shots of Joseph checking it out. Grandma Jensen wrote that "the kitties are for Joseph", but I don't think she knew that cats have been his particular animal of interest lately! I guess that's a great-grandmother's intuition for you!

Here's out little hot pepper this afternoon talking on the "other cell phone". Actually, it's Tim's old TI-83 calculator, but it looks an awful lot like a big, flat cell phone!

The last few days, Joseph has been getting better at riding his little scooter around. Here he is practicing going up and down the little bump between the carpet and the tile!

One of Joseph's favorite books lately is Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear? and one of his favorite lines from the book is "celery crunch, and sprouts in a bunch". Here I am eating some celery at dinner tonight, and Joseph is definitely excited about all that crunching! He is saying such amusing things as: "Take a bite celery", "Bite it", "Make crunch", "Take a bite again", "Mommy swallow", and "Need more again". What a little hoot!
