Grandma Cindy caught this great shot of Rosalie smiling and laughing in her sleep this afternoon while Grandpa Steve was holding her. What a little cutie!

Meanwhile, our little number fanatic has discovered the phone book, the ultimate book of numbers! Here he is reading it with Grandma over on the couch.

A little later, Grandma couldn't resist snapping another shot of Rosalie snoozing and looking particularly exhausted. It is pretty hard work being a newborn, I suppose!

Finally, what would a visit from the Allison grandparents be without Grandpa making his famous Danish frikadellars? I can't wait for dinner!

After dinner tonight, Rosalie managed to get her little thumb in her mouth all by herself, and she definitely seems happy about it!

Meanwhile, Joseph's astounding singing skills continue to improve! He knows most of the words to this song, and he knows which verse is which. What an amazing little guy!

I can't believe Rosalie's going on four weeks old already! We sure do love our sweet little girl!

Wow! Even fingers in the eyes won't wake Rosalie up. What a sleepy little girl!

Joseph is finally starting to feel a little better, so he's excited to be able to come in and hang around Rosalie a little more. He's been working on "just looking" at her while she's sleeping, which for him means bending over and getting his eyes as close to her as possible!

She actually wasn't really asleep at this point, so I asked Joseph if he wanted to touch her feet. Here he is grabbing the toes of her sleeper and wondering why he can't feel anything inside!

Tim's mom sure has been a huge help keeping Joseph happy and busy this past week! He has been feeling sick and we've had to keep him away from Rosalie, which has been really frustrating for him. Here they are having some fun with the laundry basket this afternoon!

A little later, Grandma spelled out "Joseph" for him using these fridge letters, and he decided to spell out "Rosalie" all on his own! She told him which letters to find and he lined them up. He sure does love his little sister already, and even has a special cute way of saying her name!

Just some cute shots of Joseph and Grandpa Steve playing around together today!

Happy Easter! While Joseph takes his nap, Tim and I are filling eggs with candy for a traditional backyard Easter egg hunt.

Rosalie is getting in a little tummy time, although I'm not sure she's any bigger fan of it than Joseph was at her age. She can really lift that head up already, though!

Now that the eggs are full, it's time to hide them in the backyard. We'd better hurry before Joseph wakes up!

Here he comes! It sure didn't take him long to catch on to this egg hunting business!

What a fun way to spend this sunny Easter afternoon!

Joseph was having plenty of fun just collecting the eggs in the basket, but here he is just seconds after dropping an egg (a brown, football-shaped one in the far corner of the deck) and discovering it was filled with jelly beans! He's really excited now!

Grandpa Steve cleverly hid this egg up high on the bird feeder, wondering if Joseph would look up and notice it. Sure enough, he did, and is getting a big kick out of being lifted up to get it!

Speaking of birds, this mysterious hawk flew in during the egg hunt, but won't show us his face. In any case, it's fun to see it in the neighborhood!

Now that Joseph has found all the eggs, it's time to enjoy the stuff inside!

He sure is enjoying himself, although we probably should have warned him about taking the wrappers off first!

Meanwhile, here are the dresses my mom and I were working on for Rosalie. I sure am glad we were able to work on them together while she was here!

This one is still a little big, but she sure does look sweet in it, especially with those cute booties on, too. Happy first Easter, Rosalie!

Here are a few shots from the rest of our day: Tim rocking Rosalie all snuggled in a blanket, the wonderful dinner Grandma Cindy prepared, and Joseph lining up these water bottles just so. What a great day it's been!

Here are just a few shots from the rest of the day today. We were sad to see Grandma and Grandpa Gedlaman go, but are so grateful to have Grandma and Grandpa Allison here! With the c-section, I'm not supposed to lift anything heavier than Rosalie, including Joseph, for at least a month, so I literally don't know what I'd do without someone here to help. Here's a shot of Grandma and Grandpa lifting Joseph right now...

a shot of Grandpa enjoying the backyard deck...

a shot of Grandpa helping Joseph get his shoes on...

a couple shots of us getting ready for our first two-kid car trip...

a couple shots of Grandpa letting Joseph play in the back of their truck...

and a video of Tim and Joseph being silly together before bed. It's been so nice being able to spend this day together!

It's Rosalie's blessing day! Just as when Joseph was born, both sets of grandparents are here for one day only, so we decided to bless our little newborn here at home again today. Here are some shots of Grandma Susan getting Rosalie dressed in the gorgeous blessing dress she made just in case this baby turned out to be a girl. She sure looks lovely in it!

In the meantime, here I am helping Joseph blow his nose and clean his hands. He came down with a pretty bad cold earlier this week, so I've been insisting that everyone use the hand sanitizer regularly to keep Rosalie from catching it, too!

Here's a shot of Tim, Rosalie, and her two grandpas just after Tim blessed her. What beautiful blessing she was given at the very beginning of her life here on earth! I feel so grateful for the power of the priesthood that makes it possible for us to welcome God's children into this world in such a special way!

Grandma and Grandpa Allison brought a few baby gifts for Rosalie, and this seemed like a great time to open them. Since Rosalie's still too little to rip the paper herself, we let Joseph do the honors!

Grandma Cindy has a wonderful tradition of making a cuddly quilt and flannel blanket for each grandchild. What's even more impressive is that she waited until after Rosalie was born to make these, so she would know whether to make them for a girl or a boy!

Everybody wants their picture taken with sweet little Rosalie!

We're so happy to have her in our family! What a beautiful little girl!
